FREEDOM SQUARE? For? however the origins of Valvasone must be sought in the? Roman, at the northern limit of the centuriation of the agro of Concordia, along the road that crossed the fords of Meduna and Tagliamento and that connected with a road that led to Noricum (Austria). The first structure of the castle is witnessed for the first time in 1206, but some of its characteristics refer to defensive and sighting structures of late antiquity.
